From the start, I wanted Collaborative Consulting to be different from other firms that put too much emphasis on the consultant as the expert. Instead, we use dialogue, collaboration, creativity, and capacity-building to inspire our clients with a sense of what’s possible and support them with a course of action for achieving lasting change.

Lori launched Collaborative Consulting in 2010 when healthcare reform was on the horizon, and most health and social sector leaders felt a deep sense of uncertainty. She understood that the challenge facing health and social care organizations would require reinvention, not preserving the status quo.

Lori works with clients who deliver or invest in health and social care, including foundations, associations, community-based organizations, government entities, and health systems. She helps clients conceptualize, design, and implement new strategies such as cross-sector partnerships, community-based networks, multi-year capacity-building programs, organizational leadership structures, and tools to support strategic implementation. Lori draws on her years of experience in the healthcare industry and a background in psychology to help clients achieve their potential.

Lori earned her Bachelor of Science in physiology from Kansas State University and her Master of Arts in psychology from Sonoma State University. She’s a trained facilitator, has taken numerous courses in organizational development and multi-stakeholder design, and has completed programs in futures thinking and scenario building through the Institute for the Future.
