Research does more than answer questions. It gives clients a sense of what’s possible, solves challenges, and unlocks opportunities for change. I’m passionate about using research to guide health and human services organizations toward whole-person care, improve and expand services, and make a bigger difference in people’s lives.

Miranda’s passion for improving the system of health and the delivery of aging services guides her approach to every client challenge. She specializes in designing and implementing mixed-methods research, problem-solving through collaboration, and transforming complex research into practical findings. She’s skilled in a variety of research methods, from handling national-level survey data to facilitating focus groups and interviews.

Prior to joining Collaborative Consulting, Miranda worked on an interdisciplinary team helping nursing homes and other long-term care providers implement person-centered, preference-based activities and quality improvement initiatives in their communities.

Miranda earned her PhD in Social Gerontology from Miami University, where her research focused on identifying and addressing disparities in end-of-life care quality among marginalized US adults. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Miami University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Carolina.

Miranda has received awards and scholarships for her work in aging and healthcare, has had her ideas published in several academic journals, and has spoken at industry conferences.
